Christopher Chapa is a Loan Originator Assistant at KTL Performance Mortgage, primarily working out of our Richmond, Indiana office. As a Loan Originator Assistant, he supports our Loan Origination Team and works closely with homebuyers throughout all phases of the pre-approval, underwriting, and closing process.
Christopher began his career in the retail industry in 2008, eventually moving into management and leadership roles. He transitioned into finance in 2013, working in the lending department of a local bank. In 2017, Christopher joined the KTL team as a Loan Processor, leaving in 2021 to focus on his family. Since rejoining the team in 2025, Christopher has become an essential member of our Richmond office. He is an NMLS-licensed Mortgage Loan Originator, licensed to originate home loans in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
What Christopher enjoys most about his role is interacting with clients and providing peace of mind during the often stressful mortgage process. By putting borrowers at ease and guiding them every step of the way, he ensures they feel supported and confident. Known for being reliable, personable, and relatable, Christopher draws from his own experiences as both a finance professional and a homeowner to help clients navigate the lending journey.
Outside of work, Christopher is passionate about community theater. He serves as the President of the Darke County Civic Theater, a nonprofit organization in Greenville, Ohio, where he writes, directs, acts, and oversees the group’s operations.
In his free time, Christopher enjoys living life with his husband Dominick, their son Levi, and dog Dakota. The Chapa family is fond of adventuring outdoors and spending quality family time together. Christopher also appreciates the best things in life; board games, traveling, watching terrible reality TV, and spending time with friends and family!
