Craig Allen has built his career on integrity, perseverance, and a passion for helping people achieve their dreams of homeownership. As a young man, Craig grew up learning the value of hard work while mowing lawns and helping his father on construction sites. In college, he was a member of the electrical workers union working on commercial construction projects. Upon graduation, Craig transitioned into case management at a youth residential treatment center followed by several years in healthcare administration.
After refinancing his own home with the help of the KTL Performance Mortgage team, Craig was inspired to bring his people-first mindset to the mortgage industry. He joined KTL in 2013 and today serves as Branch Manager of the Richmond, Indiana, office and as a NMLS-licensed Mortgage Loan Originator in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida. Craig is also a member of the KTL Executive Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic management and direction of the KTL organization.
Craig holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social & Behavioral Science from Indiana University Kokomo and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and Strategic Planning from Indiana Wesleyan University. Craig is committed to the approach of “Doing what you say you will do.” He carries this motto through every interaction he has with his clients and business partners.
For Craig, the most rewarding part of his role is helping his clients find financing solutions tailored to their needs. He truly believes in the value of homeownership and is committed to serving people from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances. After 10-plus years in the mortgage industry, Craig takes great pleasure in earning the trust of his repeat clients. He enjoys helping them identify solutions for their ever-changing needs, either by upsizing, downsizing, refinancing, or even providing referrals for the next generation of homeowners.
Craig is deeply committed to his community, currently serving as immediate past-president of the Board of Directors for the Richmond Family YMCA, and as a board member for both Kids Kingdom Daycare and the Ivy Tech School of Business Advisory Committee. He volunteers at LifeSpring Church and Community Christian School, coaches youth sports, and provides financial support to deserving charities in Wayne County and the surrounding areas.
Outside of work, Craig enjoys spending time with his wife, Bonnie, a nurse practitioner at Reid Health, and their four children: Christopher, Joseph, Chamberlain, and Noah. Together, are active in their church and love spending time outdoors hiking, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Their family also includes a lively menagerie of pets, including a dog, several horses, chickens, rabbits, fish, guinea pigs, and a cat.
Craig lives by the words of C.S. Lewis: “The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of sixty minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is.”
