Make the most of your Veterans Day
Before you head out on Veterans Day, here’s some advice to make the most of your Veterans Day benefits in Ohio and Indiana.
- Make sure you bring proof of service. Many locations will accept a military ID, DD-214, or other proof.
- Call ahead to ensure the location you are planning to visit is in fact participating in the Veterans Day offering. Almost all offers state that they are available “at participating locations”, so please call ahead and verify their participation. You may also want to ask what proof of service they require.
- Look into the details of the offer. Some are for limited times, some are valid all day, and some require a coupon. We’ve included the details and links to each offer below where available.

Great Clips – November 11, 2019
Veterans and current military members can visit a participating U.S. Great Clips salon on November 11 to receive either a free haircut that day or the free haircut card to use at a later date (redeemable until Dec. 31, 2019).
Newport Aquarium – Cincinnati, OH – Military Appreciation Week, Nov. 11-17, 2019
Free Admission for Active & Retired Military!
Newport Aquarium honors all the men and women who’ve served our country by offering them free admission from November 11 to 17. If you’re an active or retired member of the military, a disabled veteran, military reservist, or anyone who has ever served in the Armed Forces, just show your Military I.D.* at the Newport Aquarium ticket window to receive your free admission.
Military Discount for Family Members
Family members can receive our military discount of $3 off adult tickets and $2 off child tickets.
*To receive discounts you can show a Military I.D. card, VA membership or healthcare card, a state verified veteran status logo on your driver’s license or state I.D., discharge papers or any other proof of military service.
